Using Saved Searches and Annotations

Save filter combinations and annotate log entries with team notes.

Saved Searches

When you've set up a useful combination of filters (e.g., "Payment errors in production"), save it for reuse:

  1. Configure your filters.
  2. Click the save icon next to the search bar.
  3. Give it a name like "Payment Errors - Prod".
  4. It appears as a tab you can switch to instantly.

Saved searches are visible to all team members in your project.

Annotations

Annotations are comments you attach to individual log entries. Use them for:

  • Investigation notes — "This error was caused by PR #432"
  • Team communication — "Investigating with the backend team"
  • Root cause documentation — "Fixed in release v2.1.1"

Adding an Annotation

  1. Click any log entry to open the detail panel.
  2. Scroll to the annotations section.
  3. Type your note and submit.

Annotations are timestamped with the author's name. Team members receive a notification when someone annotates a log they're watching.

Annotations persist

Annotations are tied to the log entry and persist until the log is deleted by your plan's retention policy.
